Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Lights of Love Program
/ November 20, 2019The 7th Annual NEA Baptist Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 5 pm in the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital lobby located at 4800 E. Johnson Ave, in Jonesboro.
This annual holiday event is a fun and family-friendly way for the community to kick-off the holiday season. The event includes the reading of the nativity story and The Night Before Christmas, along with carol singing, holiday snacks and pictures by the beautiful Christmas tree with Santa. Dr. Archie Mason will be at this year’s event reading the nativity story with Diana Davis reading The Night Before Christmas, and the Curtain Up Crew from Jonesboro’s Foundation of Arts will be providing holiday songs.
As part of this holiday tradition, Lights of Love allows you to make a gift in honor or in memory of a friend or loved one.
During the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, the names of those for whom a donation is made will be printed in the program and read during the ceremony. Additionally, a special commemorative card will be sent to the person of your choosing. Donations of $10 each may be made using the form located online at: https://neabaptistfoundation.org/lights-of-love/ . If you wish to use a check, you may print the online form and mail to the address listed at the bottom of the form. Deadline for having your loved one’s name in the program is November 21st.
Proceeds from “Lights of Love” will benefit the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation’s Marc Ford Patient Assistance Fund. This fund helps our chronically ill patients with needed day-to-day expenses.
