Auxiliary Volunteer
Auxiliary volunteers provide the extra services that add so much to the comfort and wellbeing of our patients and their families. Known as the “Pink Ladies,” it is easy to spot them by the pink jackets they wear Our male volunteers can be spotted wearing bright blue shirts.
The responsibilities of the auxiliary volunteers may include:
- Greeting patients, families and visitors at the hospital and clinic entrances.
- Managing the Gift Shop.
- Delivering newspapers and ice to patient rooms.
- Delivering kiddie bags to children who are in the hospital.
- Providing comfort carts to family members and friends of deceased patients
- Hosting ICU, Surgical, and Cardiology clinic waiting rooms for families and visitors.
- Escorting patients, family and visitors to their destination.
- Provide support for hospital events

Student Auxiliary Volunteer Program
Student auxiliary volunteers are always welcome. They work alongside our auxiliary volunteers to care for our patients and their families. High school student auxiliary volunteers also have the potential to receive an educational scholarship.
Auxiliary Services Scholarships
Auxiliary services provide educational scholarships up to $500 to high school student auxiliary volunteers and NEA Baptist employees who are pursing continuing education in a health/medical field.

Why Volunteer?
The auxiliary volunteers have raised thousands of dollars through their gift shop sales and fundraisers with all proceeds going back to NEA Baptist. With the auxiliary’s help NEA Baptist has been able to purchase a patient shuttle bus, supply patients and their families with snacks and comfort items, provide educational scholarships for volunteers and staff and so much more. The auxiliary is a vital part of NEA Baptist and their efforts have and are continuing to make NEA Baptist a better hospital. Volunteer today to start giving back in a big way!
