NEA Baptist Welcomes New Hospitalist

Jonesboro, Ark., July 28, 2017 – NEA Baptist recently announced the addition of Dr. Adrian Jefferson to the growing hospitalist team at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. Dr. Jefferson will work with the hospitalist team to provide care to the patients who are admitted into the hospital.

Adrian Jefferson, MD, grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended medical school at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington D.C. She relocated to Memphis, TN to complete a residency at University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Jefferson is board certified in internal medicine and has worked as a locum physician since 2012, providing care in locations throughout Tennessee and Florida.

Dr. Jefferson is passionate about the career she chose and the care she provides her patients, stating, “I chose internal medicine because it is the most diverse area of medicine. We get to learn everything about the entire body – that fascinates me. I enjoy putting the pieces of the puzzle together, to help provide a solution for my patients. It’s amazing, there’s nothing like it.”

She went on to say, “I chose to join the team at NEA Baptist because of the community here and the Baptist reputation. The people in this region are so warm and friendly and NEA Baptist is known, even in Memphis, for high quality. It’s a place everyone wants to work and to receive their care and it’s a wonderful feeling to be part of that.”

Dr. Jefferson enjoys playing the guitar and traveling in our free time. She and her fiancé have one infant girl.

The NEA Baptist Hospitalist Program is comprised of Rodney Clark, Jr., MD, Brock Harris, MD, Matt Quick, MD, Robert White, MD and several mid-level providers. Hospital administrators project that the department will continue to grow as the healthcare needs in our region become greater.
