Two Leading Quality of Life Proponents Team Up to Create Lifestyle Medical Park

JONESBORO, AR | September 25, 2019 :: NEA Baptist is excited to launch a new partnership with Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate & Development to create a lifestyle office park. Today two of the area’s leading quality of life proponents released plans for the Reserve at NEA, an 11-acre lifestyle focused medical development that is a virtual extension of the NEA Baptist Health System Campus. “NEA Baptist strives to provide high quality care with a focus on convenience to our patients. Centralizing our services to our medical campus was an integral part of that focus. We are very excited at the opportunity to create another avenue of access to NEA Baptist through this project.” Brad Parsons | NEA Baptist Chief Executive Officer

In 2016, Haag Brown Commercial established The Reserve at Hill Park, the community’s first lifestyle-oriented office park. “We have seen the value a quality of life focused environment has added within The Reserve at Hill Park. However, there is no place such a development would be more impactful than next to NEA Baptist, an institution dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of individuals.” Greg Haag | Haag Brown Commercial Principal, CCIM

This premier landscape ties directly into the NEA Baptist Health System Campus and features 8 potential building sites complete with individual patio systems, a multi-use walking trail that encompasses the entire project and connects to NEA Baptist, multiple water features, a lake side pavilion and 3 separate greenspace areas. “Many people spend more time at the office than they do in their own homes. With that in mind, having amenities like a lake, private trail, pavilion, and open green space is appealing. The thought of having your bike at the office and leaving in the afternoon for a ride is exhilarating. When people think about the Reserve at NEA, I want there to be thoughts of biking, running, hammocks, and water all within reach of the largest health care campus in our trade area.” Joshua Brown | Haag Brown Commercial Principal, CCIM

Several factors played a role in identifying the location for this lifestyle-oriented office park. In addition to being connected to the NEA Baptist campus, the city’s largest percentage of new development is focused in North Jonesboro. After NEA Baptist opened in 2014, the population followed and now the residential market surrounding the medical campus is exploding. The project is extremely convenient for those living in Sage Meadows and Terra Hills.

Just to the south, ASU expanded with the addition of NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and the community is looking forward to opening the $59 MM Convention Center & Embassy Suites hotel this year. Courtyard by Marriott, the first hotel north of Johnson, sits directly across from NEA Baptist’s main entrance and Brookland Schools, the state’s most rapidly expanding school district, is less than 5 minutes north of the project site. These factors enhance the viability of the location of this lifestyle office park.

Arkansas native Martin Smith with Ecological Design Group (EDG) is the leading designer for the project. Martin has led design teams throughout the state with a focus on innovative, award-winning, low impact development for urban and rural environments. Martin is also active throughout the Delta, promoting the importance of Healthy Living lifestyles and locally grown regional sustainability. “Healthy environments promote wellness while connecting communities.” Martin Smith | EDG Principal, PLA, ASLA

The Reserve at NEA is ideal for any medical related professional who desires a workplace within walking distance of NEA Baptist. Phase II of the project will open up restaurant and retail opportunities at the corner of Bridger and Highway 49 North. NEA Baptist and Haag Brown Commercial look forward to announcing the development’s first tenant before the end of the year.
